The Butchers Arms at Balscote is a hidden gem in the North Oxfordshire countryside. It has been a Hook Norton Brewery Pub since 1878 and boasts a Grade II listing and an ice house in the garden. We have transformed it into a traditional village pub with a modern twist, that serves Hook Norton Ales straight from the cask. Alongside the standard selection we also offer the monthly ales and unusual guest beers. We serve Homemade Food every evening except Sunday. Friday is Curry Night, with traditional Pub Grub also available. Saturday is Steak Night and Sunday is Traditional Sunday Lunch (booking advised) and Light Pub Grub. We also offer set menus for clubs and events that people wish to hold at the pub. Over the last 18 months a lot has changed at the pub, so whether you fancy a drink in our award winning garden or in front of our open fire on cold evenings, The Butchers is a perfect place for both.
